The Orchestra is always keen to hear from new potential players, both in the orchestra itself and as soloists.

What standard is required?

The orchestra is made up of amateur, semi-professional and professional players. Anyone who is of a standard where they could consider a career in music performance (as a professional player and/or instrumental teacher) and would like to play in the orchestra is warmly invited to make an application through this website or to contact the Musical Director at the following address:

Dr Jacoby would also be very interested to hear from potential soloists. We have helped a number of very talented local musicians in their early careers (Natalie Clein, Tim Orpen, Fiona Dalzell, Sophia Grech) and wish to continue this.
